The words of Christ-
"When I am lifted up from the earth, (I) will draw all people to myself."
As believers we have lost a sense of awe that should accompany the conversion of sinners. I am very disturbed at this alarming fact that I see evidenced in many of our churches, in their denigration of evangelism. The conversion of one lost soul to Christ is a miracle of grace, and it should never be looked at with anything but the utmost awe and respect in our churches.
I decided to not just talk about this problem, but to actually get out and combat it. I am writing to you in the middle of the "I Agree With Bubba Revival" taking place with my youth group at Beechmont Baptist Church here in Louisville, KY. I decided to take my youth group on a 3-day evangelism odyssey. Today was our first day and here are some of the results...
This is the beginning of our night. They are holding in their hands printed "Plan's of Salvation."
These are the kids handing out the tracts if you will (as you can see some are rather zealous)...
The following is the miracle I spoke of:
This is Taresa and Candra (pictured below), both of which I had the opportunity to lead to the Lord this evening. I was amazed at how Jesus Christ opened the door to this encounter, and how these two young ladies responded to the gospel. One kept asking, "You mean he can forgive me of all my sins?" Jesus said "If my name is lifted up, I will draw all men unto me!" Praise the Lord! I saw this come to fruition this evening.
Pray for these two young ladies, and pray that more come to know him in the next two days through our efforts here in Louisville!
I praise the God who opens the door for the redemption of sinners. May your spirit be renewed and encouraged to take the gospel deep into the dark. Are your ready for some miracles?...Godspeed!

Dont you think the revival needs another name? Is what you are saying any different than the nature of the gospel itself?
I hope that those that are "agreeing" with you, understand that they are agreeing with none other than the gospel and not some novel idea of man. And in no way am I making light of any boldness on your part.
But, name appears a bit presumptuous. I'd proceed with caution.
It just seems that any credit for these evangelical actions/ideas/desires/thoughts should be attached to or reflect Christ's work/purposes alone and not our name.
I thank you for your words Grund, but like the name of our revival they are just words. There was no other reason to go out into the community for any reason except for the glory of the Son. These young people uplifted the name of Jesus Christ and I am very proud of them. All glory honor and praise is always undoubtedly to the Son. I thank you for your input, but for the sake of the gospel I am going to have to respectfully "disagree."
They may be "just words", but if the efforts were all to the glory of the Son, then why is there any need to attach your name to it, as if to take some sort of ownership of the cause?
Besides, we are told that we will be accountable for everything that we utter. So, I wouldnt diminish your statements to "just words". I am directing this statment at myself first, for I utter my share of nonsense. It just appears odd when you say that all glory (for these evangelical efforts) is undoubtedly to the Son, yet onto those very efforts, you've attached your name.
Lastly, how is it for the sake of the gospel, that you respectfully disagree? I was not in opposition of gospel. The gospel was my defense.
I love you.
