Jesus Prays in Gethsemane
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I go over there and pray."
Matthew 26:36
As we start the Sabbath today and participate in corporate worship and prayer, I am reminded of Jesus alone in Gethsemane. Often times we spend much time at church and at meals in prayer. We participate in much corporate prayer, but I must challenge you today by asking "Do you have an alone relationship with Jesus Christ?" Have you been to the garden by yourself lately? Are there daily times in your life that you spend alone with Jesus Christ?
Even Jesus had to have alone times with his father. As he approached the most trying time of his human existence he spent alone time with God.
Our days are filled with trials and tribulations so we must have an alone relationship with Jesus Christ. Don't spend your days relying on your own understanding. You must rely completely on your alone relationship with Jesus Christ. He desires to have a close intimate relationship with you. He wants to be your closest friend. He does not want to be shared with anybody else. Many of you are passing through times that are not easy. You need his help.
So, if you are looking for your savior.
You will find him in the land known as alone...Godspeed!
